On April 25th-27th in Castries, Saint Lucia, the Caribbean Public Health Organization (CARPHA) is hosting its annual conference on health research. In the framework of this conference, the Special Programme for Research & Training on Tropical Diseases/World Health Organization (TDR/WHO), the Caribbean Vector-borne Diseases Network (CariVecNet) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) are organizing an event entitled “Malaria Elimination: Addressing hard-to-reach populations and preventing re-emergence in malaria-free countries” on the afternoon of 25th April 2024.
Spiros Mourelatos has been invited as keynote speaker at above event, where he will give a presentation on “Management of malaria re-emergence in Greece”, as well as attend the pre-conference meetings.
The general objective of this event is the identification of a suite of solutions for improved malaria intervention coverage among hard-to-reach populations.. Representatives of Member States, public health professionals and academics will take part in the consultation.
The event is organised by the Special Programme for Research & Training on Tropical Diseases/World Health Organization (TDR/WHO) and coordinated by Dr Horace Cox, Deputy Director for Surveillance, Prevention and Control of Diseases and CARPHA’s Chief for vector-borne diseases.
