Relaunch of the specialized journal “The e-bite”

We are happy to announce the relaunch of the specialized, scientific magazine “The e-bite”, which was published by Ecodevelopment from 1998 to 2006, in its modernized, electronic, bilingual version, “e-bite”.
With the dramatic changes brought about by the pandemic in Public Health issues and given the reemergence of mosquito-borne diseases since 2010, we felt it necessary to republish a journal, with the aim of being an authoritative resource of primary material. Its subject matter will include the latest developments in matters of epidemiological risk, technology and science in mosquito control and methods of response actions at a global level.
Based on the above, in this first issue of “e-bite”, four leading scientists from Greece (Takis Panagiotopoulos, – Professor Emeritus Former National School of Public Health) and Europe (Gregory L’Ambert – Technical Director EID Mediterranean/France, Jonas Schmidt-Chanasit – Professor, Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine/Germany, Alessandra della Torre – Professor Sapienza University/Italy), who spoke at the 2nd Ecodevelopment webinar, present the current state of affairs in relation to the epidemiological risk (West Nile virus, Dengue fever, Chikungunya etc.) from mosquitoes and the methods of control in their countries.
To receive the “e-bite” on a quarterly basis, you can register through the corresponding form in the “Library + Media” category of the website.
