Upgrading the collaboration between Ecodevelopment and the International Hellenic University

After the completion of the first phase of the cooperation of Ecodevelopment with IHU (International Hellenic University), and more specifically with Professor Apostolos Tsagaris, Chair of the Department of Production Engineering and Management and Director of the Department’s Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering, on the subject of “Study, Design and Construction of a standard mosquito measuring device”, we are pleased to announce the extension of our cooperation with the imminent signing of three new contracts:
  1. “Energy upgrade of a model mosquito measuring device and establishment of a network of devices”
  2. “Development of an IoT (Internet of Things) network of water level sensors”
  3. “Optimisation of predictive models”
For the provision of the described services the services of the Department’s lab will be utilised.
The first two contracts concern the establishment of a network of mosquito counting devices and water level sensors, which will feed the kounoupakia.gr platform. The generated large volume data will be used to optimize the existing predictive models of Ecodevelopment, in relation to mosquito larvae (BoL) and mosquito larvae (BAd). The objective of the project is to install 50 energy-autonomous mosquito counters and 50 water sensors in the field, starting on 1 April and ending on 30 June.
This investment by Ecodevelopment is based on the excellent professional relationship of trust that has been developed with the IHU and our company’s belief that technology should serve to enhance mosquito control projects, not only on a national but also on an international scale.
