Sandra Gewehr at the 44o IGARSS Symposium in Athens (7-12/07/2024)

The Director of Research and Development of Ecodevelopment and President of the European Mosquito Control Association, Mrs Sandra Gewehr, gave a presentation at the 44th IGARSS (International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium), organised for 2024 in Athens between 7 and 12 July.
More specifically, her presentation entitled ” Artificial Intelligence Enhanced Earth Observation Technologies for Decision Making in wide area Mosquito Control Projects” was included in Session TU4.R8 on “Bridging the Gap: AI Enhanced Earth observation technologies for health resilience applications in the era of climate change”. The session took place in the afternoon of Tuesday 9 July, between 17:20-19:00, and was co-chaired by Mr. Charalambos Kontoes, Research Director at the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IADET) of the National Observatory of Athens, and Sandra Gewehr.
IGARSS 2024 was hosted by the National Observatory of Athens – Operational Unit “BEYOND Centre of Earth Observation Research and Satellite Remote Sensing” of the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing, with the support of the National Technical University of Athens and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas.
