The inaugural meeting of the European project SEACURE (HORIZON OCEAN-SOIL-01-01), in which ECODEVELOPMENT participates, took place in Vic, Spain, on October 16-17, 2024. The project involves 25 partners from 5 countries (Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, and Belgium), with a total budget of over 8 million euros.
The main objective of the intervention is to control the pollution of the seas from fertilizers with precision farming methods, which at the same time improve yields and support the rational management of the agricultural holding.
The company has undertaken to design and implement precision agriculture applications in the pilot study to be carried out in the Thessaloniki Plain, while it has offered to support similar applications in the other pilot areas of the project. The company was represented by Dr. Christos Karydas, Director of the Precision Agriculture Department.
