A particularly prestigious international accolade has recently confirmed Ecodevelopment’s pioneering role in the advancement of smart agriculture. In a recent article published in the internationally renowned scientific journal *Advances in Agronomy*, Professor Alex McBratney (University of Sydney)—one of the world’s leading figures in Precision Agriculture and Digital Soil Science—cites our work on ifarma/ PreFer as a prime example of innovation in business models and service architecture within the agri-food sector.
This international recognition is not merely theoretical. It is the result of many years of research, technological development and—above all—close, day-to-day collaboration in the field with Greece’s most pioneering producers. Ecodevelopment invests consistently in the creation of digital tools that do not remain confined to the laboratory, but deliver measurable added value, economic sustainability and environmental resilience right there in the field.
A prime example of this shared journey is our long-standing collaboration with the pioneering rice producer, Mr Konstantinos Kravvas. Mr Kravvas, with a steadfast vision for the modernisation and excellence of Greek production, was among the first to embrace and implement our company’s variable rate technology (VRT) and digital management systems.
Indeed, his dedication to the development of the sector and to agricultural education was demonstrated once again recently by his decision to become the founding sponsor of one of the three (Kravvas School of Agriculture) at the non-governmental, non-profit university founded by the American Farm School in partnership with Iowa State University.
