The project uses all the available entomological, epidemiological, climatological and geographical data from Germany and Greece as well as those having been produced during 2019-2020 by the above mentioned collaborating institutions. These organisations have many years of experience and specialised expertise in the field of pathogen detection and control of human disease transmitting insects in Europe. The aim is to develop and operate a common Early Warning System for mosquito-borne diseases, which is implemented and evaluated in both countries.
