Last Wednesday, June 4, the training workshop of the technical staff of Ecodevelopment working on the mosquito control project of the Region of Central Macedonia took place at the premises of Ecodevelopment in Halastra, with the presence of more than 50 scientists and technicians of the company.
The head of the Mosquito Control Department of the company, Stella Kalaitzopoulou, opened the workshop with a general presentation of the company and its activities and focused mainly on the following topics: Mosquito biology, mosquito-borne diseases (West Nile Virus, Malaria, Dengue), operational issues of the project’s implementation and the supervision and monitoring of the project implemented in the Region of Central Macedonia, as well as the correct use of the electronic data entry platform “ebite”.
Nikos Lazos, Technical Director of Ecodevelopment, focused on the training of staff on Personal Protection Measures, Health and Safety at work, as well as on the correct use of spraying products, spraying machines and vehicles.
