Feature on Ecodevelopment in the Wingbeats issue (Fall 2023)

The American historian Gordon Patterson, professor at Florida Tech University and author of the well-known book “The Mosquito Crusades”, recently published an article dedicated to Ecodevelopment in Wingbeats. Wingbeats is the most influential technical magazine devoted exclusively to mosquitoes internationally and is published every three months by the Florida Mosquito Control Association.

Professor Patterson recounts the founding of the company by Spiros Mourelatos and George Iatrou, and its evolution through the West Nile Virus epidemic in 2010, the resurgence of malaria in Laconia in 2011, to the European Innovation Council’s awarding of the first prize to the EYWA system, of which Ecodevelopment was a key contributor.
