The training of Ecodevelopment project managers from all over Greece, in the identification of mosquito larvae at species level, was successfully carried out on Monday, June 5, at the company’s facilities in Chalastra.
As part of the training, biologist and Director of Research and Development of the company Sandra Gewehr, using stereoscope and audiovisual material, presented the basic criteria for identifying specific species of mosquito larvae in the field. As part of the training, larva collection was carried out by the Project Managers, in order to train the seasonal staff in these species. Also, the basic methods of mosquito larva sampling applied internationally, mainly in drainage channels and natural systems, were presented.
This training is part of the annual training seminars of permanent and seasonal staff carried out by the company for the optimal implementation of mosquito control projects.
